Mr. Fumito Sakai actively promoted motorcycle racing soon after the war and started automotive publications for both cars and motorcycles which greatly enhanced the competitiveness of domestic motorcycle producers and heightened Japanese motoring culture. In recognition of these achievements, the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame is honored to induce Mr. F. Sakai into the Hall of Fame.
