Mr. Torao Yamaba had a deep interest in cars and their power sources at the turn of the 20th century, and produced Japan’s first steam-engined vehicle. This encouraged a number of others to develop domestic automobiles, as such laying the foundation stone for the Japanese motor industry. In recognition of these great achievements, the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame is honored to induct Mr. Torao Yamaba into the Hall of Fame.
