As a journalist, Mr. Namiki Oka worked on the issues concerning road traffic all his life. He proposed a traffic system from the viewpoint of environmental conservation and a reduction in energy consumption, all whilst users’ demands in mind, and contributed to the introduction of low-floor buses and community buses. In recognition of these great achievements, the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame is honored to induct Mr. Namiki Oka into the Hall of Fame.
