Proposing the importance of safety and environmental preservation in relation to the automobile in the early stages of motorization in our country, Mr. Michihiro Nishida recognized the social mission of the automobile manufacturers, and founded the world’s first organization for promoting driving safety. He also established the International Association of Traffic and Safety Sciences, which brought together researchers from administrative and academic fields. His contribution to our automotive society is outstanding. In recognition of these great achievements, the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame is honored to induct Mr. Michihiro Nishida into the Hall of Fame.
