Mr. Naganori Ito

Born in 1937

Created high performance sport cars that symbolized Japanese technology

Mr. Naganori Ito was engaged in the development of the famous Skyline series for a long period, and gave birth to the now-traditional GT-R concept as the person in charge of the R32 model. His cars achieved numerous victories in the racing arena, and came to symbolize Japan’s technical excellence. As they continue to evolve, the GT-R line has acquired a worldwide reputation for high performance. In recognition of these great achievements, the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame is honored to induct Mr. Naganori Ito into the Hall of Fame.

Ito was heavily influenced by the Prince Skyline (ALSI) and made him join Fuji Seimitu Industries, later renamed Prince Automobile Co.
