Born in 1942

Led recovery of Mazda’s business performance and independence from Ford

As President and a representative director of Mazda Motor Corporation, Mr. Hisakazu Imaki took the lead in the recovery of Mazda’s business performance, and its gradual independence from Ford. He promoted the brand’s strategy, and also formulated the long-term vision of technology development, making the most of human resources along the way. In recognition of these great achievements, the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame is honored to induct Mr. Hisakazu Imaki into the Hall of Fame.

Imaki was instrumental in the introduction of new digital factory production simulation technology at Mazda.
