日本自動車殿堂の活動に寄せて

我が国の自動車産業の繁栄に貢献してこられた先達を称え、その功績を永く後 世に伝承していくことは、100年に一度といわれるこの大変革期において、自動車 産業に携わる多くの人々に勇気を与えるとともに、自動車技術の開発・進化にお ける大いなる道標となるものと存じます。また、日本の自動車文化や歴史、長年 にわたる自動車技術の進展をより多くの方々に知っていただくことは、自動車産 業が大変革を乗り越え、さらに前進していくためには不可欠だと考えます。

今後も日本自動車殿堂の活動が、自動車産業のさらなる発展に繫がることを祈 念申し上げます。

Activities of the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame

In this revolutionary period considered coming only once or less in a century, I think that praising the pioneers who contributed to the prosperity of our automotive industry and continuously handing their achievements down to posterity will give courage to not a few people who are engaged in the automotive industry and will be beneficial for the development and progress of automotive technology as a cynosure. In addition, I think that more and more people’s knowledge concerning Japan’s automotive culture, history and progress of automobile technology over the years are essential for our automotive industry to overcome this revolutionary period and go fur- ther. I sincerely pray that these activities of the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame will lead to further prosperity of the Japanese automotive industry.
