いつの時代にも、自動車は人々の自由な移動と経済の動脈である物流を支え、豊かな社会の実現に貢献してきました。先人の培ってきたものづくりの知恵と情熱、想いに心から敬意を表するとともに、これらを未来につなげていくのが、変化の激しい時代を生きる我々の努めでもあります。歴史の中に普遍的な価値を認め、新たな価値を創造し次世代へ受け継いでいく。この自動車殿堂の活動が、大きな役割を果たしていただけるものとして期待しております。

Compliment on the Activity of Japan Automotive Hall of Fame

Automobiles have been contributing to the realization of the fertile society supporting free traffic of people and reliable trans- portation of supplies as an artery of economic activity at all times. Respecting truly our pioneers who cultivated wisdom, passion and ideas of manufacturing and bequeathing their achievements into the future generation is our duty in this rapidly diversified world. I hope the activity of Japan Automotive Hall of Fame will play a vital role of recognizing universal value in the history, creating new standards and transferring these efforts to our next generation.
