当博物館は日本自動車殿堂者、父前田彰三(1930‒ 2005)が1978年に開館しました。外国車や日本車、古 い商用車などの希少な車両を500台以上展示していま す。2016年より、日本自動車殿堂が表彰した「日本自 動車殿堂歴史車展」を開催し、我が国の先駆的な技術 を実物車両で来館者に伝えています。当館は先人たち の叡智・功績を後世に伝えることを目的としており、 日本自動車殿堂の協力を得つつ、これからも自動車産 業・その文化の発展に貢献したいと思っております。

Our museum was established in 1978 by my father, Shozo Maeda (1930–2005), one of the inductees of the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame. e number of its exhibits of rare foreign and domestic automobiles including commercial vehicles is more than ve hundred. From 2016 cooperating with the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame, the exhibition of the historic cars recognized by the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame is held to convey their pioneering technologies to the entrants through the originals. I wish our museum will contribute to the automotive industry and automotive culture as ever aiming to bequeath the wisdom and the accomplishments of the pioneers to our posterity.
