モータースポーツ界のさらなる発展を目指し

日本のモータースポーツが本格的に始まってから60年以上が経ち、この間各自 動車メーカーや、関係諸団体の努力で国際的な位置づけを得るに至っております。

しかしながら、欧米各国のように文化面やスポーツ面での社会性が、十分に確 立されていないのも事実ではないかと思います。

その改善策として、モータースポーツをキーワードにした自動車の歴史や、自 動車がもたらす色々な楽しみ方を分かち合える諸活動の活性化が必要と考え、私 たち機構も様々な支援をしています。

さらに社会的認知度を高めるためにも、モータースポーツの分野にも真摯に向 き合い、活動を続けている日本自動車殿堂の果たす役割は大きいものがあり、こ れからもより一層の発展を願っております。

Aiming for further progress of our motor sports world

After more than 60 years since beginning of the real activities, Japan’s motor sports have fixed their positions in the world by the efforts of several automobile manufactures and the related associations.

Nevertheless I do not think that their cultural and sporting aspects have been fully established in our country comparing to the US or European countries.

As a plan for improvement, considering the necessity of several vital activities that people could share pleasure created by automotive history and several enjoyment with the key words of motor sports, we, NPO Japan Motor Sports Promotion Organization have been providing several support. In order to increase public awareness of the motor sports, the role of the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame that have been keeping their activity including motor sports field is considered highly significant. Accordingly I sincerely hope for further progress of the role.
