日本のクルマ社会と文化の創成発展にご尽力された先達の優れた業績を讃え、永く後 世に伝承する日本自動車殿堂の活動に対し、自動車業界の一員として深謝申し上げます。
弊社は欧米の優れた自動車を100年以上に亘り国内のお客様に提供し、『クルマのある 人生』を創ることに専心して参りました。将来を展望すると、ICT・AI・電動化等の急 速な技術進化やクルマに対する価値観の変化が、今日の自動車社会・文化、更には、自 動車産業にどのような大変化(パラダイムシフト)をもたらすか、期待と怖れ半々の思い を抱き、来る大変化に注目しています。その中で、唯一確信している事は、例えどんな 変化が起きようが、重力がある限り車輪(Wheel)の回転運動が最も省エネであり、移動 手段としてのクルマ、人生を楽しむ手段としてのクルマの重要性は些かも変わらず、進 化・発展を続けるということです。
第二期の活動に入られても、より素晴らしいクルマ社会の発展に向けて、日本自動車 殿堂の益々のご活躍を期待しております。

As a member of our automotive society I express my sincere appreciation to the activities of the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame which includes celebrating excellent achievements of the pioneers who had exerted to create our automotive society and culture, and bequeathing their achievements to our posterity. Our company has been providing superior western automobiles to the customers for over hundred years and devoting ourselves to create their delightful lives by automobiles. Looking into the future with half hope and half fear we are watching how today’s quick changes of technologies such as information and communication technology, arti cial intelligence and electrically motorizing, and change of people’s sense of value will bring drastic paradigm shift to our automotive society and industry in addition. In this situ- ation the only one thing we are convinced of is that no matter what may happen in future the importance of automobiles which provide measures to travel and enjoy our lives will never be changed and automobiles will continue to evolve and develop because the rotating wheels are the most e cient under the gravity. In the second period of the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame, I hope it will be more active aiming at the progress for the greater automobile society.
